Life really does imitate art at Equippd’s project on Lillieshall Road in Clapham Old Town. The owners, who both work in the art world, wanted a home that would show off their collection as well as be a relaxed and practical family home. Samsung Frame TVs were installed throughout the home in keeping with the home’s gallery ambiance, showing beautiful works of art when they’re off. The house was stripped back to its bones, completely rewired and future proofed from the very beginning. WiFi was optimised throughout and all the entertainment, environment and security systems were chosen with longevity in mind, controlled by one single Control4 ‘brain’. This means automatic updates and no upheaval and redecorating from constant upgrades.

4K Video
Ultra-HD content was available on all connected Samsung 'The Frame' TVs, which imitate a work of art when switched off.
Multi-Room Audio
Using the existing speaker cabling, we connected the property to Control4's high-resolution multi-room system via TIDAL, for perfect playback in six rooms around the house.
WiFi
Six WiFi boosters, carefully distributed around the property maximise coverage and speeds, removing all black spots.
Heating & Cooling
The underfloor heating system is connected to Heatmiser Neo thermostats, which provides app control and integration with Control4.
Smart Lighting
As the property was not going through a major rewire, we connected key rooms with Lutron's wireless RA-2 system, enabling detailed, modern lighting control and integration with Control4, Alexa and more.
CCTV
We designed and installed an advanced CCTV system that provided the client with remote access and playback wherever they are in the world.
Intercom
Control4's intercom system provides a smart doorbell that rings various touchscreens in the house, or the client’s phone when they're not home.
Fire
A combination of Nest Protect fire alarms, integrated with Control4 and Lutron. If smoke is detected, TVs are turned off and lights turned on.
Control
Control4's latest operating system, OS3, is paired with gorgeous Neeo remotes for ultimate control of absolutely everything.
