‘Arch House’ is a remodeled and extended four-story London townhouse, for a film and TV composer and his young family. This beautiful project was a true collaboration between Equippd and some of London’s best Architects, Interior Designers, and Acoustic and Audiovisual consultants.
The brief was two-fold: first, to refurbish the house into a home; second, to incorporate a professional music studio for composing and recording. It needed to operate as a Pro-Audio composing space on the studio side, whilst simultaneously able to playback multi-channel film scores to industry clients in the cinema, but without feeling like a ‘box in the basement.’
And so, behind its traditional Victorian facades, the house evolved into a beautiful home with a timeless aesthetic, incorporating elegant hand-cut brick arches, dreamy yet muted colours and technology that seamlessly blends in.
